The Magic Box

At school I have been learning about Poetry, including "The Magic Box" by Kit Wright. You can read his poem here. I wrote a poem about my own Magic Box and what would go in it. Here it is, I hope you like it.

The Magic Box

I will put in the box
Nice dreams bursting and flowing with happiness,
Secret memories that only I know about
And all the love of the world.

I will put in the box
The sound of fire birds chirping,
A magic stone that transports you to another land.
And tears of sadness from a miserable, poor country.

I will put in the box
Calmness from the calmest person I know,
The smell of the sweetest rose perfume that mums use,
And the sound of the harmless, gentle rain.

I will put in the box
God the father, the son and the holy spirit,
Candyfloss trees and a bright blue river with a chocolate one next to it.
I will love my box forever.

Hinduism Project

Three gods or goddesses
Hindus believe in three different gods Bramah the creator, Vishnu the preserver and  Shiva the destroyer and they all make one supreme god.

Aum sign
The aum sign is a special part of Hinduism because they often pray in front of them.

Puja
Puja is a special time when hindus can pray. This involves a puja tray, kum kum powder, a spoon, lamps and incense.

The story Hindu children are told a story about salt and water that is supposed to tell them that just because you  cant see the gods does not mean they are not there.
